It is knit in one piece forming 3 sections of squares and rectangles. There are only knit and purl stitches that form the design.

I used 1 1/3 skeins of the Hobby Lobby I Love This Yarn, about 400 yards.

The sailboat and letters are charted, but the charts are also written out for those of you who prefer written instructions.

This blanket will be a delightful heirloom to be cherished by baby and mommy alike!
