This is a cosy, colourful cardigan I imagined myself snuggling into, with pleasure and serenity. I find my joy in feeling good, wrapped up in a big cosy cardigan, surrounded by my family in good health. When the pandemic swept away the way we related to others, it became essential to refocus on ourselves in order to take care of those we love.

I designed this cardigan thinking of my mum. It was very hard for her to know we were far away, without being able to see us. This cardigan, I would knit it for her. What better way to take care of our loved ones than to wrap them in the love we put into our knits? My joy is to see my mum in my knits.

C’est un cardigan douillet et coloré, dans lequel je m’imaginais me blottir, avec plaisir et sérénité. Je trouve ma joie à me sentir bien, protégée par un grand cardigan douillet, au milieu de ma famille en bonne santé. Quand la pandémie a balayé tout notre rapport aux autres, il est devenu essentiel de se recentrer sur soi pour prendre soin de ceux qu’on aime.

J’ai imaginé ce cardigan en pensant à ma maman. Il a été très difficile pour elle de nous savoir loin, sans pouvoir nous voir. Ce cardigan, je le tricoterais pour elle. Quelle meilleure façon de prendre soin des siens que de les envelopper de l’amour que l’on met dans nos tricots ? Ma joie, c’est de voir ma maman dans mes tricots.
