Leaving Japan, my homeland, over 20 years ago, I find myself yearning for its sights, especially as March comes to a close. Each year, colors gradually fill what was once a monochrome canvas, and the area around the cherry blossom trees turns a beautiful pink, creating a breathtaking scene that fills me with longing.

I’ve created various motifs inspired by cherry blossoms before,
but this version is my absolute favorite.
I especially like the shape of the flower petals’ tips.
