the sakura pouch is knitted bottom up in stockinette. first you knit the bottom flat. then, you pick up stitches around the bottom, and knit in the round. then, you knit the top of the bag by working flat in two separate sections to make room for the zipper. lastly, you attach the zipper and inner lining according to instructions in the pattern.
the pattern includes three sizes, and can all easily be made with scrap yarn or mini-hanks.
