Sakura – Knitting to the Rhythm of Petals

A breeze from Japan has settled on my needles…

Sakura is a raglan sweater as light as a petal, inspired by the fleeting bloom of cherry blossoms. Its soft neckline, delicate and even lace reminiscent of flowering branches, and gently relaxed fit make it both elegant and comforting to wear.

Conceived like a stroll beneath sakura trees in full bloom — that suspended moment when everything turns pink and silent — it blends the simplicity of construction with refined details. The lace flows easily, almost meditatively, and follows the yarn with grace.

It’s a project to knit slowly and joyfully, like turning the pages of a travel diary.

Un souffle venu du Japon s’est glissé sur mes aiguilles…

Sakura est un pull raglan léger comme un pétale, inspiré par la floraison éphémère des cerisiers. Son encolure douce, sa dentelle fine et régulière qui évoque les branches en fleurs, et sa coupe légèrement ample en font un vêtement à la fois élégant et réconfortant.

Pensé comme une promenade sous les sakura en pleine floraison — ce moment suspendu où tout devient rose et silence —, il mêle simplicité de construction et raffinement des détails. La dentelle est fluide, presque méditative à tricoter, et accompagne le fil avec délicatesse.

C’est un projet que l’on tricote doucement, avec plaisir, comme on tournerait les pages d’un carnet de voyage.
