A wrist corsage, bracelet or hair elastic inspired by the flowers of the salal bush. There are 2 very similar options - Option A with the inclusion of 3 additional leaves. Use up your sock yarn to make different coloured flowers and never be short on hair elastics again.

To make the samples exactly as shown you will need:

Materials:
Assorted scrap sock yarn, approximate measurements:
Option A
blue yarn - 8m/9yards
white yarn - 12m/13 yards
variegated yarn - 6m/6 yards
green yarn - 10m/11 yards
Option B
blue yarn - 8m/9yards
3 shades of yarn for flowers- 4m/4 yards each
green yarn - 10m/11 yards

Notions: Rubber band (samples made with bands of 16.5 cm/ 6.5” circumference and .4cm/ 1/4” width

Tools: Three 2.5 mm (US 1.5) double pointed needles; large-eyed tapestry needle.
