Sallang Shawl
Sallang Shawl
The Sallang Shawl is a soft, lightweight triangle shawl with a delicate ruffled lace edging. Worked from the tip outward in stockinette stitch, the main triangle is shaped with simple increases. Stitches are then picked up along both diagonal edges to create a gently rippling lace ruffle.
The body is worked loosely with 4.5 mm needles, while the edging is worked more closely with 4.0 mm needles. The finished shawl measures approximately 138 cm wide × 80 cm deep.
