Pattern Notes
Brackets will be used to indicate that all the stitches in the brackets are to occur inthe same space created by the previous rows Ch 1.
Or in the case of the first row the brackets indicate all the stitches are to occur in the magic loop.
At the end of each row, I will count out how many clusters of 3 DC’s to help you keep count.
Ch 2 counts as 1 DC, you will do this at the start of every row.
Each block consists of 9 granny squares.
Each of these 9 squares are joined as you go.
Meaning on the last row of the square the Sl between clusters of the DC’s will slip through the
Sl from the square it is supposed to connect to.
Then you will DC 3 in the appropriate space until the granny square is completed and stitched to the adjacent granny square.
After all nine squares are joined, start working on the next block of 9 squares.
Once you have completed all six blocks of 9, you will use black to create a border around each.
You will use the same method of joining for these blocks as you did the squares.
If you prefer to complete each individual square and join them using another method of joining,
I would love to see your creative flare!
I chose this method to decrease the number of ends to weave in, because Sally inherently has a few loose stitches!
All granny squares are the same pattern but use a different color scheme.
I color coded the color changes to help visualize the motif.
