Sally the Seal Cub
Sally is a low sew pattern, it is only the front flippers that are attached by sewing! (If you use crocheted eyes, you need to attach them by sewing as well). She is just the right size to be a cuddly friend for a little child. It is an easy pattern that only uses basic stitches and it has pictures to help with the more complicated parts!
Skill level:
Easy
Approximate size is 9 cm high and 27 cm long, which varies based on yarn weight, hook size and the tightness of the stitches.

There are two versions of the pattern, one in English with U.S. terminology and one in Swedish.
The pattern includes an easy-to-print section with few pictures.
You will also get a compendium with descriptions and step-by-step pictures of the techniques involved and tips and tricks if you are a beginner (also two versions, English and Swedish).
Materials needed:
- 50 g white or gray for body and flippers
- Thin yarn for eyes, or safety eyes if you prefer that (I used mercerized cotton yarn, 125 m by 50 g, black and white)
- Stuffing
- 5.5 mm hook
- If crocheted eyes, 2.25 mm hook
- Darning needle
I have used chenille yarn (120 m by 100 g). If you use another yarn, make sure to change crochet hook accordingly. If you are new to crocheting it can be easier to see the stitches if you use a thick twisted yarn in acrylic or cotton.
