The Saltus socks take their name from the Latin word for “leap,” a reference to the hurdle stitch used throughout the design. The connection between the stitch pattern and the name felt especially fitting.

CONSTRUCTION
These socks are worked from the top down, beginning with a 1x1 rib and transitioning into a hurdle stitch pattern. The heel is shaped with a heel flap and gusset construction, and the foot length can be adjusted to fit your foot. The socks are finished with a wedge toe and the remaining stitches are grafted together.
