This is a written pattern for a hat which is made in one piece. Both UK and US crochet terms are available. The ribbed trim is made first in rows of double crochet (US single crochet) rib and then joined. The work is then turned and the rest of the hat is made in rounds of crossed treble (US double crochet) stitches turning the work at the end of each round.
