Here’s a beginner knitting pattern for a Beanie that doesn’t require working in the round (but has a nice easy to sew seam that can be worked into the pattern of the beanie to hide it quite nicely!)

I got frustrated that most patterns were worked on joined / round needles in the round, so this is one that I made up from some interesting stitch types to give the hat some character. It’s called the “Salty Sea Dog” because it reminds me of the hats Cornish trawler and fishermen wear.

You can work it in any colour, I used StyleCraft Chunky in Gold.
