Here’s an upcyling project! Figuring out how to turn junk into something useful AND pretty is my sweet spot.

This is a mix between a recipe and a pattern. In this document, I explain step by step how I made my pieces, and with that information you will be able to replicate it using the measurements provided, or use the recipe as reference to make something totally different with materials you have available. Even if you decide to replicate the shape, you can still incorporate different elements and make it totally your own.

This can be used for any flat plastic bag of any size with any yarn in any gauge.

You will need:

  • Yarn (I used around 40g of worsted for 3 examples and bulky for 1 example)
  • 2 pairs of circular needles (I used 3.5mm and 9mm)
  • Stitch and row markers
  • Tapestry needle
  • Crochet hook (2 - 3mm)
  • Plastic bag
  • Hole punch or awl
