The Samhain mitts are a collection of 5 cuff charts and 3 mitten charts that you can have fun and play with. The over all pattern is the same, so you can mix and match charts however you like, maybe with two different cuff motives, or different mitten motives!?
The possibilities are many!
The mitts are knitted in the round, starting with the cuff.
You can choose between 5 different cuff motives and pair them with one of the three different mitten motives.
The cauldron motive is the only one that is a tiny bit longer then the other 2. It has 3 rows more to work at the top.
Some of the motives have details that will be embroidered on with duplicate stitch ones you finished you mitts.
See the different embroidery charts on page further down.

Yarn:
Jamiesons of Shetland spindrift
You need approximately
80 m of all Main colours and 60- 80 m of all contrast colours

Needles:
US 1/2,25 mm DPNs or circular needles for magic loop technique
or needle size to obtain gauge. US 1,5/2,5 mm needles for a bigger size.

Gauge:
32 stitches and 36 rows = 10 cm in stranded knitting in the round after blocking.
Notice that the size of your mitts will change if you do not achieve gauge.

Size and finished measurements:
Measurements after blocking:
15 cm = long, 17 cm = circumference

If you wish your mitts to be bigger,
go up one or two needle sizes.
Note that you will need a bit more yarn,
if knitting the mitts in a different gauge
than described above.
