This pattern was born from the desire to use up my scraps of sock yarn and was designed with hand dyed yarns in mind.
I consider the pattern more of an exploration template for using those bits and bobs that are hanging out in all of our stashes.
Finding ways to play with colour is my never ending passion and I hope these mitts will bring you pleasure in the creation and the wearing!
Three sizes are available;
small = 6.25 inch palm circumference, medium = 6.75 inch palm circumference and large = 7.25 inch palm circumfernce.
Yarn:
6 mini skeins of sock yarn approx. 14 grams/50 yds each to knit 1 pair of mitts, three lighter colours and three darker colours.
Of course, you can substitute any bits and scraps into one of the charts at any time.
Needles:
I use 5 size 2mm (US 0) double pointed needles but of course you can use magic loop or two circulars.
Additional materials:
stitch markers
tapestry needle
stitch holder or scrap yarn
These mitts are knitted from the cuff up and in the round using colourwork charts.

Happy Knitting!
Susan.
