A graceful, crescent shaped, two color shawl, written in two sizes.
• The body of this shawl is an easy eyelet design on a stockinette stitch background, separated by garter stitch stripes and bordered with a lace pattern. The instructions are deceptively simple, using only K2tog, YO, SL1 & PSSO for the lace and any shaping. The beaded picot bind-off adds an elegance and drape to the overall design. I expain, in the instructions, exactly what to do in case you have never done this technique before. The instructions are written row by row with stitch counts for every increase, for ease of keeping track of your progress.
• A complete list of abbreviations and a stitch glossary explaining the techniques used in the project are included.
• Skill level: Advanced beginner to intermediate.

Yarn selection: Any fingering weight yarn should work, approximately 750yards of the MC and 380yds of the CC color were used for the large shawl. Approximately 352yds of the MC and 240yds of the CC were used for the small shawl. I don’t suggest using a variegated yarn since it usually camouflages any lace design. I recommend a light color for the CC as it will show off the lace border better than a dark color.
