Ever since I was small, I have been fascinated by sand dollars. When I was small, someone had gifted me one decorated with dry flowers. I would look at it every night and think of the beauty of the sea, the sand and the waves!

Inspired by the beautiful sand dollar, I have created this unique doily. It is not a perfect circle, as are not sand dollars, but I do feel it looks very similar to a gorgeous sand dollar that I can decorate with flowers and seashells on my coffee table!

This is my first time using Red Heart Fashion Thread and I found it very easy to work with. This doily can very well be made with any yarn and matching hook size. 3.5mm was the recommended hook size for this yarn, and I used the same.

This project was a holiday project done on a holiday, so it will always remind me of the good times I had on the holiday! It’s a super easy and fast pattern.

For this doily I have used approximately 1 and half balls of thread, and it measures approximately 18 inches across. I have added the step by step pictures of my doily for easy understanding.
