This is a pattern for a knit shawl that features two lace (and cable-lace) stitches that come to us from Japan. The focal stitch is an intricate and unique (mock) cable lace stitch that makes quite a statement. The border stitches are also unique, but quite a bit easier to knit. Combined, they make a one of a kind shawl, quickly becoming an heirloom.

Skill Level: Intermediate+ (assuming a basic knowledge of cable-lace knitting).

The two stitches are both charted.

The wrap was expertly pattern tested by Page Zelasko, who can be contacted at: izazbz @yahoo.com, and it was knit using Handmaiden’s Casbah in colorway, Smoke.
