The Sandition Socks are inspired by the Jane Austens Regency Era and novel Sandition. The lace adds a dreamy romantic touch to the socks as the cable reminds me of the tranquil waves coming along the shore that is the essence of the seaside resort. They are the prefect knit for a lazy day.

The Sanditon Socks are a elegant lace and cable pattern that goes up the side and back of each sock. it is a simple patter to knit and memorize but looks like it takes alot of work. The cable is on a stockinette background so it is a great pattern for people that like to knit vanilla socks but want a little something extra to keep you interested.

The socks are knitted cuff down with a simple ribbing. The pattern includes instructions for a slip stitch heel and gusset, but you can easily substitute you preferred heel method. The pattern is written for Magic Loop but I also include instructions on how to use DPNs and 9” inch circulars.

I had fun with these socks and switched the main color and contrasting color for the second sock. I used Knit Picks Stroll Tonal Manatte tonal and Blue Violet Tonal for my sample socks.

I hope you enjoy knitting them as much as I did designing them. Don’t forget to follow me on Instagram @crystalteaknits to be the first to know about upcoming pattern releases and subscribe to my Youtube Channel Crystal Tea Knits to see the progress of all my knits.
