Sandro Vest
The Sandro Vest is worked from the top down with a drop shoulder construction. You start by casting on the left and right shoulders, work short rows, then continue knitting it back and forth while working increases for the neckline fit. This pattern has two neckline options, a v-neck version and a crewneck version. When the shoulders reach the right length they are joined to form the front yoke, then armhole shaping is worked. Back yoke is picked up from the shoulders, knitted flat and then armhole shaping is worked. Back and front yoke are worked separately and then joined together at the underarms. The armhole bands are worked from stitches that are picked up and knit along the armhole edge, there are some decreases worked for a better fit. The neck edge is worked up in ribbing with stitches picked up along the neckline. There are two options for armhole and neckline bands, they can be worked in 1x1 ribbing or 2x2 ribbing.
I recommend you begin by knitting a swatch to determine which needle size you need to achieve the correct gauge.
Note: Size 9 has not been properly tested because I didn’t find any testers, so if it is your size and you want to knit the pattern, reach out to me so I can give you the pattern for free in exchange for feedbacks.
