Note on Sizing

The fit of the cardigan is oversized which means that 15cm of positive ease have been incorporated into the fit. The Bust Circumference shown is for the finished garment. Measure your bust circumference and add 15 cm to this measurement to determine what size you should knit. If you prefer a less oversized look then consider going down a size.

Notes on Construction

The Sandstorm Cardigan is knit seamlessly from the bottom up. First we knit the body up to the armholes, then we divide the piece in three and continue to knit first the left front, then the back and finally the right front panel. The shoulder stitches are live on a stitch holder or scrap yarn and front and back are joined using a three needle bind off worked on the inside. The sleeves are picked up from the body and knit in the round. Finally we pick up stitches around the front opening to knit the neckband.
