Sandy Cables Throw
A chunky cabled throw with a nautical feel. Knitted on circular needles using knit, purl and basic cabling technique. Cabled self striping border stitched separately to the main throw at the end. An ideal project for those new to cabling.
Gauge is difficult to determine in sandy cables due to the twisting nature of the pattern but gauge not critical in this design. Could be made bigger or smaller by adding more or less repeats of the sandy cable pattern per row.
You will need:
12 mm Circular needles (long enough to hold 80 stitches, I used 120 cm).
Cable needle (chunky).
8 mm Circular needles for the border.
Sirdar Big Softie Super Chunky (Nubbly 352) 50g x 11 Balls
Sirdar Indie (Montana 154) 50g x 4 Balls
Tapestry needle
