This beautiful sock pattern was inspired by thoughts of being at the beach and walking through the waves, seeing the interesting ripples in the sand which the waves make.

This pattern can be worked with a single-coloured yarn or with contrasting cuffs, heels and toes: look out for the useful ‘Notes’ to indicate where you should change colour.

There are two versions in this pattern the standard sock, which starts on page three, and also a shorty version of the sock which starts on page five.

The pattern has a suggested heel flap, turn and gusset, however it is also ideal for an afterthought heel as the back of the sock is stocking stitch.

Sizes: S (M, L)
To fit mid-foot circumference: about 8 / 8.5 / 9.5 inches (20 / 21.5 / 24 cm)
Stitches: 60 (64, 72)

I used Blue Fern Yarns hand dyed 75% Superwash Merino and 25% Nylon sock yarn in colour way Sand.
