Sandy's Reflections Shawl
As I created the Reflections shawl, I reflected on the year 2024. This was a year of ups and downs, great joys and great sadness, many heart-warming and heart-breaking events. I reflected on what got me through the year and it was the love and friendship from my friends and family.
This is where I’m lucky.
The Reflections shawl is designed to be a mirror image of itself. It starts in the middle, then is picked up on the sides to create equal parts in fiber and color. Mixing Shibui yarns in the Reflections shawl gave it amazing texture and richness.

SPECIAL NOTES:
You will be casting on loosely and binding off loosely. You may want to cast on and bind off with a larger size needle than a size 7, in addition to using a loose cast on and bind off technique. You will be starting with the center part of the shawl, then picking up the sides. The center will mostly be done in stockinette, except for the first and last 20 rows. The side edging may curl, making it a little tricky to pick up stitches on the side. Using SHIBUI TWIG is quite structured. Try not to knit too loosely with this yarn as it will effect the gauge as compared to the other Shibui yarns being used.
