Information about the mitten from the book:

“This piece of mitten (no. A 571:10) has been preserved in ENM since 1962.The mitten was knitted 5 years earlier in Mägiste settlement, Kuigatsi rural municipality, Sangaste parish. The author of the mitten was Liida Käärik (née Tamm) who donated the mitten at the age of 58. According to the documentation of the mitten it has been knitted with white and blue yarn. But at closer examination the blue seems more like grey. Asta Teder happened to knit mittens just like these.”
