A lovely combination of stripes and lace to keep the knitter engaged. Made top down this shawl flows along easily, and is a pleasure to knit.
You will need 200 grams of 4ply yarn, 100 grams of each colour. We have tested knitted this shawl in merino/silk mixes, merino, and sock yarn, all give good results, but silk in the fibre certainly adds drape and luxury.
Long length circular needles (120 cm) are advised for the last third of the shawl due to the large number of stitches.
For a great finish wet blocking is recommended to bring out the full glory of the lace.
The finished shawl measures 160cm in wingspan, and 85cm at its deepest point.
Perfect for a spring or summer evening.
