This baby sampler was created specifically to work with Scheepjes Whirl. The subtle color gradation Scheepjes ties into each cake turns this very simple baby sampler blanket into a stunning heirloom masterpiece.

The sampler was made with the Melting Macaron colorway for a “baby” feel, but you could certainly use any one of their amazing colorways to create a one-of-a-kind blanket for your little.

You will want to do a gauge swatch because this blanket uses almost all of a cake of yarn. I had less than an ounce leftover. You will also want to plan on blocking your blanket if you want your pretty stitches to stand out, and if you want your blanket to reach a more appropriate “baby blanket” size of 36” x 36”

Beginners should feel free to stretch their crochet muscles, and advanced crocheters should find this to be a simple, relaxing blanket.

One last note: although this pattern is written in US terms, there are some UK translations included in a “special stitch” section to make it easier on my friends across the pond.
