Developed by Megan Lapp aka Crafty Intentions, this pattern is for Sapling Sprites! This pattern is written in U.S. terminology.
This pattern comes with instructions to make Sapling Sprites!! This pattern includes instructions for Arms, Legs and Body, four styles of Branches, and two options for foliage including 3 styles of leaves and four styles of bases for weeping willow type foliage. This pattern features clear step by step instruction with a lot of row-by-row photos. The gauge IS crucial to this pattern, see the Supplies section of this listing for more information.
This pattern is a total of 61 pages containing a full set of written instructions with photographic illustrations, and there are video tutorials for particular steps and stitches available on my YouTube channel. This Pattern consists of ONE PDF File, and the last 14 pages include 11 pages of Text-Only, Printer-Friendly instructions and 3 pages of the EU Safety and Compliance Document, but I strongly recommend you still refer to the photographic illustrations throughout the pattern if you have any questions.

Sapling Sprites from this pattern made using the recommended yarn weight and hook size are approximately 6 to 9 inches wide from branch tip to branch tip, 10.5 inches tall (13 inches with extra rows), and 3 inches deep across the roots.

SUPPLIES:
Yarn, in worsted weight, all amounts are approximate: This pattern requires a range of approximately 74 to 110+ yards of worsted/medium/4 weight yarn, depending on what branches and foliage you choose to make.
Tree color yarn:
Arms: 17 yds for two
Legs and Body: 45 yds
Branches:
Style 1: 3.5 yds each
Style 2: 7.5 yds each
Style 3: 11.5 yds each
Style 4: 14.5 yds each
Foliage color yarn:
Leaves:
Style 1 (Tiny): 1 yd each
Style 2 (Small): 1.5 yds each
Style 3 (Medium): 2 yds each
Weeping Willow:
Style 1 (Extra Small Base): 1 yd + yarn for hanging strands
Style 2 (Small Base): 2.5 yds + yarn for hanging strands
Style 3 (Medium Base): 4 yds + yarn for hanging strands
Style 4 (Large Base): 5 yds + yarn for hanging strands
Note: The amount of yarn needed for the Weeping Willow style foliage is highly variable, based on desired length of strands and density of foliage.

10mm or 12mm black Safety Eyes (or 14mm colored iris Safety Eyes) Darning Needle 2mm & 1.5mm Sculpture/Armature wire (or Bonsai wire)

Note: The Sapling Sprites in the photos DO have stuffing, but only in the trunk/body/midsection, and not in any limbs or branches. You can add a small amount of stuffing to the Body to fill out the shape, per your preference.
