The sock pattern is inspired by the peony Sarah Bernhardt. The pattern is easy to learn, and after the first repeat you hardly need a chart at all.

Sizes
The pattern includes three sizes in width: 62 (66) 70 stitches. The sock circumference is 18 (19.5) 21 cm 7″ (7.75″) 8.25″. Foot length is easy to adjust. If only one stitch count is given in the instructions, it applies to all sizes.

Ease
2–3 cm 0.25-1″ of negative ease measured around the full circumference.

Yarn
Fingering-weight sock yarn, 400–425 m 437–465 yds / 100 g. The sample socks were knitted in True Crime Yarns Basic Sock, colourway Dolores Umbridge.

Yarn requirements
approx. 65 (80) 100 g. If you want a longer leg, you will need more yarn. If your gauge differs from that given, yarn consumption may be more or less than stated.

Gauge
32 sts and 40 rows = 10 × 10 cm 4″ x 4″ in stockinette stitch.

Needles
2.25 mm US 1 and 2.5 mm US 1.5 100 cm 40″ circular needles, or another needle size to obtain the correct gauge.

Knitting method
The pattern is written to be worked using the magic loop technique.
Pattern includes video tutorials.

Notions
Cable needle, darning needle, 1 removable stitch marker, approx. 3 m of waste yarn of a similar thickness for the tubular cast-on, crochet hook.
