Each of our crochet projects is a journey involving time and space—or in this case, crocheted chain-spaces. This gorgeous hand-dyed yarn from Apple Tree Knits was created in honor of the beloved British tv series, Dr. Who.

Silk and merino yarn in stunningly soft blue, green, taupe, and ivory is the perfect companion to my Sarah-Jane shawl, a luxurious crocheted lace wrap named for one of Dr. Who’s most beloved time-traveling companions, Sarah-Jane Smith.

  • This triangular shawl is worked flat from the bottom point up, then turned to work a seamless border detail across the lower two edges of the triangle.
  • This shawl is completely reversible.
  • This pattern uses US crochet terminology.
  • This project requires 460 yds 102 g of #1 Super Fine Weight yarn.
