From Knit Today:

This simple-to-knit stole makes the most of the beautiful jewel-like tones of the sari silk without any complicated shaping or stitches. It is easy to customise and make shorter or narrower if you prefer a traditional scarf style. Keep your tension as loose as possible to encourage the soft draping that occurs with this pattern.

Sari silk often feels rough when it is in the hank or being knitted but it does soften up beautifully when washed. Made from shreds of recycled saris that are handspun into yarn by women in Nepal, no two hanks of sari silk are alike so you will have a one-of-a-kind knited garment!
