This pattern was one of the choices for Lap 2 of Supersock World Championship 2025 ! The pattern is now available for all.

Sassia’s socks are inspired by Berber motifs, as on the fibula you can see on the pictures.
This fibula was owned by my mother-in-law, she used it to fasten her dress. You can see an example of these pins and their use here.

Construction:
These socks are worked from toes up, with a gusset and a heel flap.

Motifs:
The motifs are worked on the toes and on the ankle. They are explained by charts.

Sizes:
S/M (L/XL/2XL), depending on foot width: 20/22 (24/26/28) cm / 8/8½ (9½/10¼/11) inches of circumference. This corresponds to 56/60 (64/68/72) stitches.
11 shoe sizes: (EU) 35, 36, 37, 38, 39, 40, 41, 42, 43, 44, 45 / (US) 4, 5, 6, 6.5, 7.5, 8, 8.5, 9.5, 10, 11, 12.

Yardage:
You will need 2 colours of fingering sock yarn.

• 200/225 (250/275/300) meters / 220/250 (275/300/330) yards in MC (main colour).
• 70/80 (90/100/110) meters / 80/90 (100/110/120) yards in CC (contrasting colour).

Les Sassia’s socks sont inspirées par les motifs berbères, comme celui de la fibule que vous pouvez voir sur les photos.
Cette fibule appartenait à ma belle-mère. Elle l’utilisait pour attacher sa robe. Vous pouvez voir un exemple de ces attaches et de leur usage ici.

Construction:
Ces chaussettes sont tricotées en partant des orteils, avec un gousset et un talon renforcé.

Motifs:
Les motifs en jacquard se trouvent sur les orteils et les chevilles. Ils sont expliqués par diagrammes.

Tailles:
S/M (L/XL/2XL), en fonction de la largeur du pied: 20/22 (24/26/28) cm de circonférence. Cela correspond à 56/60 (64/68/72) mailles.
11 pointures: (EU) 35, 36, 37, 38, 39, 40, 41, 42, 43, 44, 45.

Métrage:
Il vous faudra 2 couleurs de laine à chaussettes fingering:

• 200/225 (250/275/300) mètres pour la couleur principale.

• 70/80 (90/100/110) mètres pour la couleur contrastante.
