Sassy cat mitts are the perfect fingerless mitts for all cat lovers. They will keep your hands warm but free to move and work or play (with your cat, naturally!). And everyone will know you or your loved ones are owned by a cat when you are spotted wearing these…

These fast, quick (and very suitable for gift knitting) mitts uses only 15g of any fingering weight yarn in the MC (and less than 15g in additional yarn for the contrast colours). The pattern has 2 sections of simple stranded colourwork and is written using the magic loop method (but can be knit with dpns).

Size
1,( 2) Two sizes can be obtained using different needle sizes. Recommended fit with no ease.
Wrist circumference: 18cm / 7” (19cm / 7.5”)
Knuckles circumference: 18cm / 7” (19cm / 7.5”)
Total length: 19cm / almost 7.5”, (19.5cm / just over 7.5”).
(Smaller or larger sizes can be achieved with smaller or larger needles sizes and/or thinner or thicker yarn).

Gauge for colourwork:
Size 1: 34 sts x 38 rnds to 10cm / 4”
Size 2: 32 sts x 36 rnds to 10cm / 4”

Needles:
Size 1: 2.5mm / 1.5 US 80 cm/32” circular needle for magic loop.
Size 2: 2.75mm / 2 US 80cm/32” circular needle for magic loop.
(or whichever size needle suitable for achieving gauge).
Notions: Stitch markers and tapestry needle.

CC1: Frida Fuchs, Lametta Sock, 75% Merino superwash, 20% nylon, 5% stellina in Weisser Pfeffer. 8g approx. 32m / 35 yds
CC2: Frida Fuchs, Lametta Sock, 75% Merino superwash, 20% nylon, 5% stellina in Vanilleschote 5g approx. 20m / 21 yds
CC3: Scrap fingering weight for the eyes.
(or any fingering weight yarn in these amounts can be used).
