About the Pattern

Any cat lover knows that cats have plenty of sass! The Sassy Cats Scarf is a tribute to my late cat, Fizgig, who I often called Ms. Sassy Pants, due to her long fur and tail as she would walk away with attitude. The scarf is full of cats showing their… “attitude” as they walk or strut away. Wear this sassy scarf when you’re in a fun mood or want to provoke some laughs!

Double knit, the scarf is fully reversible, showing opposite colors on each side. Use a color changing yarn paired with a solid color for a neat effect or use two solid colors for a more classic look.

The scarf length is approximately 69 inches (175 cm) and the finished width is approximately 5.5 inches (14 cm). The colorwork design is charted, not written instructions.

Materials

• Size 2 US (2.75 mm) needles.
• Size 1 US (2.25 mm) needles (optional for a neater cast on edge).
• Approximately 430 yards (393 m) each of two contrasting colors of fingering weight yarn.
• Needle to weave in ends.
