In astronomical terms a satellite is any object that orbits another, usually larger, celestial body; an example would be a planet and its moons. There is usually a set direction which the satellite
revolves around the other object, as the Moon does with Earth. In this instance the satellite is the lunar-inspired headband, as it revolves and repeats in a set direction around the wearer. In
addition, the smaller coin cables are the satellites to the larger central cable.
