Construction
The Saugerties Pullover is worked in the round from the “underarm” up. After a few rows of the body are worked upwards from the provisional cast on in Seed Stitch, steek stitches are established for the armhole openings. Next, 1 of the 3 available colorwork charts (fish, sheep, bear) or the “create your own” colorwork chart is worked in the round. The back is worked flat in Seed Stitch with short row shaping. The front-left and front-right panels include neck shaping and short row shaping on the shoulders. The steek stitches are then secured and cut for the armholes. The front and back panels are joined together at the shoulders with either kitchener stitch or a Seed Stitch Graft.

The neck collar stitches are picked up and worked in the round for a 1x1 ribbed hem. We then return to the provisional cast on and work the last of the short row shaping. The body is then worked in Dot Stitch until the desired body length is reached. A bottom hem is added in 1x1 ribbing. The sleeve stitches are picked up and worked in the round down to the cuff, starting with a small band of Seed Stitch and then worked for the remainder in Dot Stitch, and finished with a 1x1 ribbed cuff.
