The dress is worked flat in one piece from top down. It features round yoke constructions with expanding lace pattern which eliminates the need for classic raglan shaping of the sleeves.
The A-line shape of the skirt is achieved by two rows of increases and then by natural behavior of the lace border pattern. Otherwise the skirt is worked in stockinette stitch.
Partial back opening with zipper closure.
Two variations of the lace border are given: a straight lace border that follows the general A-line shape of the skirt, and the flared border that is a simplified version of the expanding pattern used for the yoke. Because of the increases within that pattern the number of stitches for the flared border will be increasing significantly on several rows.
