Sauma-hat is worked in the round from the brim up. You can knit the hat in one colour only or knit a stripe on the brim and crochet a seam on the back with contrast colour. If you want to knit the hat in one colour only, the pattern gives you instructions how to knit the seam in MC.

The pattern has photo tutorial how to crochet the contrast colour seam.

The instructions are for a beanie, but you can easily add length to the body for a slouchier hat.
