This season, I’ve gotten very excited about the Herringbone Stitch. There are so many different ways to change up the look of this stitch! This pattern uses the Herringbone Double Crochet stitch. The interesting thing about this stitch for me was that as I started experimenting with it, I quickly discovered that while the right side of my work kind of bored me, I was intrigued by the texture showing up on the wrong side. So, I designed the Savannah Slouch Hat to showcase the wrong side.

This pattern is great for a confident beginner to wants to branch out beyond those most basic stitches we all learn at first.
