I’m very happy to bring you this free (and pretty easy!) pattern for a crochet Savvy Handbag. This was written for the final issue of Crochet Savvy magazine by Donna Wolfe from Naztazia.

It’s a simple back and forth of single crochet stitches - and the neat part is you crochet in the handles at the same time you make the purse. Two small seams on the side and you are done! If you use super bulky weight yarn like my sample (and you don’t have to - you can use any size, even worsted weight) - you don’t really need to line this tote if you don’t want to.

Sample is 17”/43.2 cm wide, 20”/50.8 cm high (including purse handles)
