Excerpt from Bargello Knits

Classic Chanel styling gone bold with color and texture inspired this design. The knit-purl stitch pattern reminds me of the Sawtooth Mountains in Idaho.

Pattern notes
Each segment is 16 sts wide to match the knit/purl texture stitch. To center the segments throughout the garment and accommodate the various sizes, selvedges worked in stockinette stitch are used as “filler.” Work these extra stitches using the same yarn as the neighboring segment. If you wish to continue the stitch pattern into the selvedges, leave 2 sts in stockinette stitch for neater seaming.
