The Saxon’s Braid is a six cable braid often seen as a motif in knitting. As someone who both knits and crochets, I was inspired by the idea of using two concepts already familiar to me and combining them into something unique.

Using Jacob’s Ladder techniques to build this braid creates a richly textured square easy enough for the beginner but fun for those with more experience as well.
