Scalesia is a simple lace, toe-up sock pattern featuring striped fagoting, spaced with rib for a snug fit, and a short row heel. It was designed for the speckle-style colorways commonly found among indie dyers, but subtle variegated, tonal, or solid colorways will also work.

Materials
350[400] yards of fingering-weight yarn, a sock blend recommended
US1/2.25mm needles, for however you knit in the round, or size needed to get gauge

9 stitches per inch in stockinette

I use Knitty’s list of standard abbreviations and techniques.

The total stitch count per sock is 64[76]sts. Foot circumference could be easily modified by adding or subtracting pattern repeats (8[10]sts per repeat).
