NOTE:::
It is VERY important to not work this pattern in your normal tension, but make it semi loosely by gently pulling up on each stitch as it is worked. It is also important to not pull the colors too snug, or the hat will bulk up and or not fit properly.

It is best to be a tad relaxed in your yarn holding and working each stitch and color.
