The Scallop cardigan is knitted from the bottom up with a repetitive texture pattern. First, the body is knitted back and forth, and then divided into front pieces and back piece. These pieces are finished separately. At the top of the front pieces, decreases are worked for neckline as a natural part of the pattern. Then, the back piece is worked to almost full length before casting off the middle sts, then each shoulder is finished separately. The pieces are sewn together at the shoulder with kitchener stitch. Then, the sleeves are knitted from the bottom up. You will increase along the underside of the sleeves and knit the new stitches in the texture pattern. The sleeves are sewn on nicely with kitchener stitches. Finally, stitches are picked up for the bands and the neckline.
