Memories of summertime are filled with searching the beach for shells while seagulls and pelicans fly overhead. Fresh-squeezed lemonade and salt water taffy are served behind the counter of the candy shop. Dining outdoors under colorful umbrellas with no sense of hurry as the sun lingers on the horizon. The nights are cooled by double scoops of ice cream under pink and white canopies. These memories are all captured in the Scallop Wrap. Gentle scallops mimic the shells we prized and the awnings decorating small shops along historic streets. It recalls the gentle rolling of waves lapping against the shore and the beach umbrellas offering shade. Take your time with this project and linger over every peaceful stitch.
