Snowflake Crochet Afghan

Inspired by the Scandinavian Snowflake Designs seen on the Tim Hortons Coffee Cups, I wanted to capture the warmth and design in an afghan.

The afghan, designed by Michael Sellick, is versatile in allowing the crocheter to change the sizing and shape of how the hexagonal motifs join together. The pattern below will show you what to do in for the border to make sure it all comes together perfectly.
Afghan Details

Shown in the design as Mikey has it. The sizing change be easily changed by adding or subtracting motifs out.

44″ wide x 56″ long
24 Motifis
Each motif is 10″ diameter across points. 9.5″ across the flat sides.
The motifs work together like a honeycomb.
Border is an additional 2″ thickness around.
