Scarab Beetle
The pattern features instructions for 3 sizes and contains a very detailed step-by-step guide with several photos to help you along the way.
The difficulty level is intermediate. However, the skill level does depend on the size you are working on. The small beetle can be quite fiddly when making the legs, while the larger beetles are much more simple.

Small
• 75 yards Hobbii’s Metallico in Moss Agate (Body)
• 20 yards Hobbii’s Metallico in Dark Gold (Wings)
• 20 yards Hobbii’s Metallico in Night Blue (Head)
• 50 yards black crochet thread (Legs)
• 5mm safety eyes
• 3 oz Poly-Fil
• 5.0mm, 3.5mm, and 1.5mm crochet hooks
• 4 stitch markers (optional)
• Yarn needles appropriate to yarn gauge
• Sculpting wire or pipe cleaners (optional)
Medium
• 75 yards Premier’s Basix Chenille in Sand (Wings)
• 20 yards yards Premier’s Basix Chenille in Teal Blue (Head)
• 20 yards Premier’s Basix Chenille in Sage (Body)
• 50 yards Hobbii’s Mayflower cotton yarn (Legs) (fingering/sock weight) (2)
