Amazing Baby Shower gifts!
They have become very popular baby gifts for friends and family in the School Bus Service. Pattern size fits 3 ¾ inch foot length (newborn and up) as long as it’s comfortable. Bootie is designed from the sole up. I have left space on the sides so you can personalize the door area. When giving as gifts, I look up the colors, bus number and placements of the emergency lights for the school district for that individual. These tiny details will be noticed by the family.
I also have patterns for Police or Sheriff Vehicle, Ambulance and Firetruck booties (sold separately). I knit it in gold, but suggest yellow. Embroidering a stop sign on the driver’s side of each bus is a cute accent.

Note on embellishments: be sure that tires and lights are securely attached to the bootie and made of child safe materials. I use a knit tire design, you can also embroider the tires using the circular spoke design used for the headlights. You can use shiny satin or glitter embroidery floss but I find that cotton floss works the best for sewing and washing. I use Cascade 220 superwash, light worsted and has lots of great colors. Medium worsted can also be used for slightly larger finished booties.
