This pattern is a collaboration with the wonderful Pasley Knits for her New Year’s Countdown box for 2026!

This shawl features 8 different texture patterns and was designed for the 8 different variegated colourways in the box corresponding to one of the female characters featured in teh box. While it was originally designed as a fade, it will work with non-fading yarns as well!

Two strands of fingering weight yarn are held together to achieve a DK weight gauge and the fade is achieved by swapping one of the two strands for the next colour in the fade towards the end of the charted section, then breaking the previous colour to add in the second strand of the new colour for the next section (more detailed instructions are included in the pattern).

Most of the textured sections are charted!

The final shawl measures 57in long and 22in deep (it’s a trapezoid)!
